Welcoming and good teaching. Does well with the funding they have and tries their best to provide for the students they care about so much. Much freedom to do what you want here but, of course, high level resources are severely limited. Has a good sense of community.

I graduated from here in 2012, this high school is a joke. They place sports above everything else, including academics. I heard of several cases of teachers passes students so they could play a sport; even if the student did not earn the grade. If you value your child's education, don't send them here. Fort Chiswell like most public schools beat the love of learning out of Myself and my husband.

The teachers are overall decent. The grading methods are reasonable and most communicate the material well.

Hortible. If you want your child to have a good education keep them away from this school. If your kid is popular then you will have no problems.

My child is currently attending this school. I feel that the teachers challenge the students to learn.

Things really changed after Mrs. Jackson retired. The school became more racially biased and the teachers are less prepa...

This school definetly does not prepare students for a college education. I know many students who have graduated from FCHS and have trouble doing simple math still today. Students who have graduated and went on to college and had to repeat classes at the college that they had already taken at FCHS b...
