My experience at Mayer High School was great. While it being such a small school with minimum opportunities I still was able to achieve many things. I was allowed to attend Jted program which will allow me to graduate with my medical assistant certification. I was able to play sports and leave a mark. Most importantly I bonded with my teachers, I received tremendous amount of help and guidance.

My overall experience at Mayer High School was okay. I like that Mayer only has a four day school week; Monday-Thursday 7:30 am-2:30 pm. I would like to see the discipline at my school change because the kids that go here get away with almost anything and it needs a more structured base and I also wish the school offered more higher level classes for students and more clubs or extracurricular activities for students to join. Education wise the school is good for the students willing to learn.

Mayer is alright but the principal is bad. He is the principal, Althetic director, and a coach. He does not know how to handle any situation and has favorites. At this school you can get away with anything there is no punishment at ALL. It's a horrible school to be at.

There is countless discrimination towards those who are of the African-American race from students, bullying is a major problem, a majority of the teachers taught poorly, especially in the s...

There has been issues with the superintendent, but the teachers and coaches step up and empower the students. They work hard on getting the students to find their potential and push to better themselves. Over the past few years, they went from a failing, or near failing grade to a B.

The turnover in teachers is something to be concerned about. For the 2017/2018 year, there are 2 new out of a total of 2 math teachers. 2 new out of a total of 2 English teachers, 1 new out of 1 Science teaching position and 1 new physical education out of 1. Out of 5 core subjects being taught (Mat...

Some teachers can be good about pushing students to sucess but most push them down and lead them to failure the School also did not offer extra curricular activities such as art drama technicians or any interesting subject
