Mayfield Center Elementary School serves over 400 students in grades kindergarten through fifth. The educational community is guided by the school's motto: Center Cyclones Care. Students learn the importance of generosity through school partnerships across the community, including food drives to stock the shelves of local food pantries.
As you walk the school grounds, you'll spot kindness rocks painted by students and staff as part of ongoing lessons in kindness. Following Mayfield City School District's 1:1 device plan, all students in second grade and up receive a Chromebook to facilitate their education, while first graders receive regular exposure to technology through classroom iPad carts.
At Center Elementary, grades kindergarten through third participate in the annual Art Docent program. This art enrichment program brings adult volunteers into the classroom for an hour each month from January through May to discuss an artist, their work, and an interactive art project. Recent artist profiles include Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso.

This school is totally committed to the education of ALL its students and has tremendous volunteering among its parents. The principal and staff are completely responsive to concerns and the academics are superior. I feel extremely fortunate that my daughter attends Center Elementary School.
