Mcalester High School is generally not a good school to send your kids to. There are way more cons than there are pros. One of the cons being that there are fights every single day, and that's seen as normal. Most of the teachers in the school clearly don't care about the students. However, there are a select few teachers that are really sweet and you can tell they genuinely enjoy their job.

My overall experience from this school has been well. The ban program was inclusive and the directors pushed us to exceed. The soccer program is full of culture as we volunteer a lot and have made history these few years. The classroom isn't always the best place but most of the teachers at the school are great.
