I enjoyed the atmosphere of the school. I felt very welcomed and comfortable there. The school also made me feel safe and secure. However, the one thing I wish I could change was the curriculum offered. I never felt challenged enough which compelled me to take courses at the college nearby. Very few honors and AP classes were offered. I believe this had a huge effect on my education.

I liked the clubs they offer and the sports they offer. But don't like how there is no parking for students, or a cafeteria for that fact. The education there is good, some of the teachers are excellent some are not some are not even qualified or provide quality education. The high school itself is not very diverse in ethnicity or culture. I would recommend this high school to boys who play football and have a lot of money to keep up on costs.

Overall most of my teachers have been great, but I've had few bad ones that I don't think even like teaching or kids in general

McCook High School is truly and outstanding 9-12 building. The student scores are excellent with an ACT average over a point higher than the national and state averages. MHS has great kids, great teachers and great administration.
