McLean High School has very good academics, the amount of classes offered is very diverse. However, the building and facilities are very below average, especially compared to the other schools in the area.

Wish it could be more diverse, the work is good but overall I wouldn't recommend if you are a person of color because you will feel like your standing out alot.

Positives: - Lots of AP/honors classes offered - Lots of clubs - Winning marching band - Sports are mostly good - Admin attentive Negatives: - Building falling apart - Mice - Leaks - Some programs get way more funding than they deserve - Overcrowded - Limited parking - Can be quite competitive

Mclean High school has few issues that are ongoing. During the 4 years our family has been involved with MH we have seen teachers that are not qualified, teachers who clearly do not care if students understand and perform. However, there are few very strong teachers that needs to be praised and real...
