I transferred to McNary high school in November of 2023. I can most definitely say it is a low funded school. Many students don't care or aren't pushed by teachers hard enough by teachers. Standards here are pretty low, and it has gotten to the point where we have metal detectors at the entrances.

The teachers overall are very welcoming and understanding with the students. As all of my teachers were including and understanding when it comes to turning homework and prioritizing mental health.

the best part for me is all the resources to get ready for college and all of the opportunities they provide. Something bad and i would want to be changed is the way non avid and most non ap teachers try and really understand how the students are doing and care and trying to help them

I have gone to salem/keizer public schools my whole education. I liked most of my teachers at Mc Nary and most of the schools polices. I have attention deficit disorder which the school some how failed to reconize for all my school years even though my doctor has reconized this for six years or so....
