first off, the phone rule is ABSURD. it removes our safety and is completely too strict. there's absolutely no freedom as a highschool student, which doesn't prepare for the real world. the bathroom rule is maybe even worse. 2 people out at a time is absolutely unacceptable. mind you this school has kids from 14-18, old enough to use the bathroom like normal people. including hall monitors aswell is just abusive. don't get me started on the people who work main office. they are SO mean making the highschool experience worse then it already is. also stalking our screen on the chromebook while working is giving middle school. if i choose not to do my work, that only affects me. there is no reason for a teacher to spend time looking at screen instead of grading or something important. now the guidance counselors is bad but could be worse. changing your schedule is top 3 hardest thing to do. it's the most stressful aswell. treating 14-18 year olds like children isn't helping ANYONE.

Great school, went there for 2 years and graduated there. I am black so they lack diversity but overall some people are welcoming and the staff is nice.

All this school cares about is numbers. Student safety does not exist here and the staff( principal) only cares about pushing its bullying reputation under the rug

I have 3 children going through Shawnee. It’s an excellent school! Teachers are dedicated and hard working, students are just normal kids, very few extremes. The curriculum allows for a variety of levels of rigor. I have one kiddo who needed college prep classes and my other kiddo who is headed off...
