I am a past parent and an alum. The quality of the education cannot be overstated. The faculty is amazing, the one-on-one attention for every student is unparalleled and the wooded campus is gorgeous. When speaking to parent after parent you will quickly hear countless stories of really smart kids who's entire school experience was changed for the better after graduating from Benchmark.

My son started attending Benchmark in 5th grade after being diagnosed with dysgraphia in 4th grade. We have been so happy with the specialized instruction and attention he is now getting. His teachers (2 teachers for the 10 students in his class!) are incredible and are helping him understand how his brain works. He's definitely made huge strides and is feeling more capable. His self esteem was so low by the end of 4th grade because he felt like he was so behind his peers. And this was despite him having tutoring for 2 years. He really needed teachers who understand how his brain works and tools so he can be successful.

Benchmark really prepared me for my future after making me a strong self-advocate. The only downfall from BMK was the fact while I was there the lack of support for minorities and teachers of color was horrible. Racist comments were made at me from teachers and students and they were never properly handled.I hope BMK changed from the time I went there but this was a big problem.

Our daughter came to Benchmark in 3rd grade (currently in 6th) after we became increasingly disappointed and frustrated with the lack of accomodation and support provided by our local public school system. Benchmark is an amazing school for children with learning differences. Their faculty and staff are experts in their field. The Benchmark educated students I've seen go on achieve much success; it's impressive!
