GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Merrillville High School was definitely interesting, High school has truly been the best yet also toughest years of my life throughout it all I have met some amazing people. I hope to continue to go up with those same people after we graduate.

Went to Merrillville Highschool for all four years, felt as if there was major favoritism in the school.

I would like to see some changes with the overall school board. Actually having people who have kids make some rules and changes.

Merrillville High School is a very high achieving school. It celebrates diversity and real life. The kids get along great. People that talk poorly about the school are not well informed and probably have left the district only to find out that the grass is not greener.Involved Parent
