Academy with Community Partners can be found just West of S Gilbert Road off of E University Drive in the neighborhood of Mesa Patios. Unlike most public charter schools in the area, the school offers nontraditional learning solutions for grades 9-12 for students in the Mesa School District as well as across the state of Arizona. Thanks to their utilization of a virtual platform, students seeking an alternative credit recovery program don’t have to live within the district to enroll in classes. However, students who do live nearby can elect to attend in person. The charter school is tuition-free and operates off of a four (4) day schedule from Monday to Thursday with purposefully smaller class sizes designed to give each student the attention that they need to succeed and graduate with a diploma. The school permits students to take two (2) courses at a time in a 6-week block schedule and provides Chromebooks for virtual learners and computer labs for in-person attendees. With an average class size of 15, students attending virtual classes won’t miss out on vital interaction with their instructors and peers. Similarly, students who attend classes on campus are given the opportunity to focus on academics while also having the choice of participating in athletics such as football, flag football, basketball, and baseball.

This school is not very big when it comes to school security. I think this is because the school is very small.

This school offers many clubs for students. One of them was New Global Citizens. This club gives students an opportunity to eduacte their community and to help out the community as well. They not only help their community, but they also help people around the world. One year they made homemade ovens for people in other countries.

Both of my children attended this school. I really liked the fact Everyone is expected to follow the rules, no matter who you are. The teachers truly care about each individual student and will go above and beyond to help each of them.

I used to attend and have failing grades at Red Mountain High School but that all changed when I starting going to this school. The teachers here are more caring than any other. There is less students here so there is more one on one learning experience. The classes are very well taught as well. The...
