Located just across the street from the Arizona Museum of Natural History, Queen of Peace Catholic Church and School provides faith-based teaching to youth in the Mesa area. The school works to instill an understanding of Catholic values and teachings to youth from Pre-K to eighth grade.
Queen of Peace uses a mix of educators and religious leaders that offer instruction and support through students’ most formative years. This direct guidance is paired with a curriculum that endorses the learning of life skills such as home economics and computer literacy.
The school’s culture of acceptance and adherence to conservative values also prepares youth for receiving their spiritual sacraments. Spiritual development takes place throughout the course of regular church attendance and through community service.
Extra curricular activities are also a large part of the school’s culture with programs such as choir and several athletics to choose from for older students. Younger students are placed in a program that they refer to as ‘Atrium,’ which is designed to assist in their development of a relationship with their divine creator.
