Located on Broadway Road in Mesa, the Tempe Montessori School offers a non-traditional education for children between the ages of 3 months to 12 years old following the Montessori method. This teaching style rewards the natural curiosity and motivation of young students to seek knowledge through experience and learning by doing. Like many Montessori schools, Tempe’s campus also blends classrooms with children of different age ranges to foster an environment of curiosity and relationship- building. Using a child’s natural sense of wonder, Tempe Montessori School allows children to play while also teaching non-standardized lessons intended to teach mathematics, language and literacy, science and engineering, world history, art and music, and horticulture and zoology. Founded in 1978, Tempe Montessori School continues to be family-owned and operated, functioning on a private, tuition-based model. Several extracurricular activities and a summer camp program are available for those interested at an additional cost.
