Teaching and leading in a middle school has to be a challenge, but the teachers, coaches and administrators at Nautilus Middle deserve a round of applause. This is a well-run school that strives to meet the divergent needs of its students. These students are mentally shifting from an elementary school and preparing for high school, and Nautilus does this very well. There are problems but they deal with them ASAP.

I honestly loved the teachers I had when I was in middle school. Every school will have a group of bad apples and students that fight but in all honesty, I enjoyed my middle school years.

Bullying was an issue at Nautilus, but many of our students also stood up for each other, so it canceled out the bullying. Security was decent but amateur; they held preference towards some students and were therefore more lenient with them. Personally, I've only attended the school nurse once, and it was to get a band-aid for my friend who scraped her knee. She had to fill out an "accident report" that took longer to complete than the time spent getting the band-aid. I don't think Nautilus is extremely safe, but it is decent. I wouldn't recommend the school but I wouldn't badmouth the school either. Safety could improve, yet I haven't attended the school for almost three years so it may have gotten better.

Absolutely horrible school. My son went for 2 years (6-7th) and he tells me that he was verbally abused almost every other day. Would NOT recommend. The academics are subpar at best.

Received an A rating!! the teachers are excellent !! Have programs for all. only drawback is the athletic program could be strengthened. There is a large amount of elective classes and the junior scholars is top notch right there with what they are teaching at the most expensive private schools in M...
