School entrance is locked, and you have to talk with the receptionist about who you are and why you're there, before you will even be let in.

I do not recommend this school or district. The core math and literacy curricula are outdated. They use a math curriculum that does not teach standard algorithms and does not encourage children to memorize their math facts. They also try to make it impossible for kids to take accelerated math. We have two children who attended Kromrey for the three years we’ve lived here. It is a beautiful school and the teachers we have had were excellent.
