Mater Dei Prep, is a genuinely decent school. The school is not so well kept, but the students are there to learn, and the teachers actually teach. The facilities could be updated, it is a bit out of date, but the school makes do with what it has. There are ever-changing programs with the UN and First robotics, etc.

There is a reason the school is tanking quickly and staff are running out of there. You can't trust the administration to be truthful. We were lied to a number of times as we tried to get basic information. Either the administration doesn't tell the president the truth and keep him informed or he just doesn't think it is necessary to be straight with prospective parents. With the very small incoming class, it seems the writing is on the wall as it is sliding precipitously.

MDP provides the opportunity for the student to excel across multiple platforms. My daughter has been able to participate in varsity sports as well as graduate this year with AP and college credits. The school gives personalized attention to each student enabling them to realize their full potential not just in the classroom or the athletic field, but as engaged member of their school and local communities.
