In 1990, Bailey Bridge Middle School opened its doors to support the educational needs of one of the fastest-growing counties in the state. It is the first school in Chesterfield that was built around the synergetic concept that tailors to the unique needs of middle school students. The 127,000 square foot building is organized into grade level areas, which are designed with accessibility in mind by eliminating organizational problems sometimes experienced by students of this age group. Annual enrollment for grades six through eight is approximately 1,500 students. With a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1, Bailey Bridge faculty work to accommodate a fast-developing generation of learners. The Bears are historically community-minded and strive to accommodate the distinctive academic, physical, and social-emotional needs of each individual student. The middle school is built on 30 acres of land, directly adjoining the Manchester High School campus, which opened two years after Bailey Bridge. The view of the upper school is one that younger students can aspire to. The close proximity between the two schools reinforces the school’s commitment to collaboration. Bailey Bridge parents appreciate the advocacy for togetherness within the large student population.

I really enjoyed going to Bailey Bridge. It really was a school I am never going to forget, I had teachers who made me motivated and excited for school, and the electives were a lot more fun than I ever thought they'd be.

i just started going here and i just have to say, the kids here are honestly for some reason really rude and almost never get enough of a talk. the teachers are amazing but if you do want to take your kid here, expect them to probably either be the bully or be bullied.
