Spring Run Elementary School opened its doors in 1999. School administrators tasked the students with voting for a mascot, the Husky, and the teachers with selecting the school colors, blue and silver, to represent the new millennium, and red, to symbolize the heart of the school. More than two decades since its establishment, the school’s total annual enrollment including preschool and kindergarten through 5 programs averages 950 students. Unique to Spring Run are their horticultural achievements. The school raised funds from an herb sale to build two 12 x 16-foot outdoor gardens and three aeroponic tower gardens in their courtyard. The goal was twofold: students would plant flowers to embellish the school grounds while simultaneously learning about healthy eating and where food comes from. The school also offer summer and after-school programs for additional special academic and extracurricular activities. With a low student-teacher ratio of 15:1, Spring Run faculty have been particularly successful in generating above-state average scores in reading. The school is generally on par with the district and the state in other learning categories. Spring Run’s school motto, ‘Work hard, work together, you're on the Husky team!’ is evident in their creative endeavors and extracurricular offerings. A strong collaborative foundation has allowed the school to flourish and prosper over the past two decades.

Overall, the school is great, at least teachers. There is no diversity at the school so if that's what you are looking for then go elsewhere. Front office is really the issue here and they are the first impressions, some of the front staff is okay but there is one in particular that is not very receptive of people and families that are different than her. It's very unfortunate to say the least but it has been this way for years and no one does anything.

My daughter attends this school, and honestly, I have nothing to complain about when it comes to what truly matters: education, support for students, and communication with parents. We have always been treated very well by the staff, teachers, and administration. They genuinely care about the studen...

Amazing school that encourages intentional learning and sets the bar for quality education. Lots of opportunities for family involvement and volunteering. A stellar PTA.

However, a few months in is when i noticed him shutting down, looking depressed, and signs that as a parent you know something is off. I went to the school to address the teacher and principle and notic...
