This is my first year at Edison High School. It is a great school. The teachers, staff and students are friendly. Even the girls are nice to each other, which is a change for me.

School pride is very high throughout the entire school district. The academics are the best in the area.

Edison's teachers care. I didn't have a teacher that wasn't willing to talk to me privately. The administration, however, doesn't listen to its students or community. My time in high school was enjoyable community-wise, but I always felt like the students and staff were stranded. The guidance department is currently implementing changes but, when I attended it felt like they were leaving a lot of the stressful senior things for us to do alone.

There is far too much emphasis and expenditure on sports and the jock culture, but that's true in a lot of area schools. There's also a palpably snooty vibe that one has to have money and wear the right clothes. That attitude is much more prevalent here than say, Perkins or Norwalk or other area sch...

Edison High School is alright. The teachers, custodians, and councelors are great. The principal however is not. He does not take action when it is needed. Bullying is not taken care of at all.
