I liked the teachers that truly care about the students. I dislike the teachers who do not value their position and the state of the locker, textbooks, and ceiling tiles.

South Lamar is a small 1A school in the backwoods of Lamar County in Millport, Alabama. The school was built to hold 1,000 students but is now a K-12 with about 500 students. You get hands on with all teachers and you know everyone. Great faculty and staff. Excellent sports facilities for a 1A school. Well funded and a safe place to go to school.

I went to SLS starting in the 8th grade and left as soon as I got my drivers license. Some of the teachers there are ok, and the rest only care about the "last names". I am a graduate of South Lamar. First of all any education is what you choose to get out of it. If you like to party and not focus on the curriculum then yes, I say you won't learn.
