GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers at my school care very much not only about the academic areas of a students life but also things that go on outside of school. They understand that if you're having problems non-school related that it can be difficult to concentrate. They challenge you and give you encouragement along the way. They are great at giving one-on-one attention to those who ask for it.

Although people may not get along, you can't expect everyone to, but they always encourage each other and push them to do their best. There is little to no bullying or harassment so everyone feels accepted and they're not afraid to be themselves.

The overwhelming majority of students I have had the pleasure to meet at New Urban are bright talented and articulate. I could not ask for a...
