GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, my experience at Minerva High School has been very enjoyable. The classes are very challenging in a good way, and really gets the students to develop as many skills as possible. The environment is a very good learning space. The clubs and other activities are very involving and enjoyable as well.

The teachers are very nice and they will take personal care that you can know the material that is being taught. They also will get to know you personally and have a good conversation. Every staff member is very friendly and will make sure that you have a good four years of high school.

Would like to see the Adults at the school act accordingly. These students should be treated as though they have some responsibility for their actions. Adults that can't fallow the rules are subject to punishment. Isn't this what we should be teaching the children?. From what I have seen, respect is greatly lacking. There may be a huge discipline problem at the school. The students should know or be taught respect or no or be taught how to leave and have to be homeschooled or have to go to a different facility. If the students have not been brought up correctly and can't behave in school then the parents should have to deal with the consequences of that also. School has not yet been legally recognized as babysitting, so I don't believe the teacher should have to perform this job also.

I went to Minerva Local Schools from K-12. It was a traumatizing experience. MLSD is very much a class based system which is based on who you know. I saw many children get left behind academically due to the fact that no one took an interest in them: I suspect because of their social status. I never...
