I went to Rushton from 1964 to 1970. Best time of my life. I knew the man that donated the land for the school. I would walk by his house at 53rd and Lamar every day. I got to pet his horses that he kept in the yard, and see the neighborhood change over the years. I have wonderful memories of the school and the people and teachers.

Rushton is a wonderful school with a diverse and growing community. There have been several new young energetic teachers added in the past few years, and most of the veteran teachers are stellar. Don't get fooled by the 4/10 rating on Zillow. It does not reflect the school's caring environment and commitment to its students. They don't acknowledge different leaning styles, my son was very irritated with his teachers not being able to explain things differently.
