Located at 1300 Campus Way North in Mitchellville, Maryland, Ernest Everett Just Middle School’s (EEJMS) stated mission is to “create a nurturing and respectful environment that provides rigorous and relevant education that equips students for high school success.”
Known as the Eagles, students here share a pledge to SOAR, an acronym that stands for being Self-Determined, Organized, Adaptable and Respectful. As part of the school’s vision to provide a supportive environment, all students share the same dress code, sporting school uniforms in the school’s burgundy, gray and navy color scheme.
In addition to a comprehensive curriculum of academics, foreign language and technology concepts, the school offers Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) as an academic elective. AVID is offered by interview and application to select students. AVID participants receive academic guidance from college tutors and participate in enrichment activities that help with college access preparation.
EEJMS’ unique Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program provides hands-on projects that make today’s technology relevant to students’ daily lives. Topics in PLTW include design, automation, robotics, aeronautics, engineering and science. Students at EEJMS are offered an array of creative and performing arts opportunities including dance, instrumental music, vocal music, media arts and theatre. Student-athletes can compete in both basketball and volleyball.

This middle school is okay. However, I would like to see some changes. Other middle schools like Kettering Middle School don't need clear bags and on most field trips they are out of uniform.

This school is actually getting better. majority of you people eating the school is telling from your past experience. The is actually becoming a safter place to learn, and they have more opportunities to find your interest in learning. People need to get out with the old, and in with the new mind set of Ernest Just.

The rating for the school is 4/10 but the school is not bad, its just the kids in the school even though my daughter I was mixed in with bad kids I still believed that shouldn't be in the mmix and stayed herself and if you send your child here just believe in them and encourage them.
