Grand County High School is overall a mediocre school. While they offer very few AP classes along, Grand does offer concurrent enrolment classes which will allow you to prep for college. The schools council does not do a good job of helping you prep for college until a month before its time to send off applications.

Some aspects of this school our great, others not so much. Being in Utah, some teachers feel like injecting religion into class when they can. This also applies to some of the activities outside of school as well. There are also some students who belong in a mental institution. This is because there are a lot of hicks that live in Moab. Other than that, the education you get from most of the teachers is at or above the national level in my opinion.

I would say GCHS is overall a good school for its size. A lot of the classes are a hit or miss, depending on the teacher. I wish they offered more advanced placement classes provided for students. However, I do believe if you put in the effort, you can get a good education from GCHS; it just depends how self-determined you are.

It definitely could've been worse. I think a lot of it has more to do with the attitudes in the community and fr parents than anything the school itself can really fix.

Honestly, there are some incredible teachers here at GCHS. However, there are also some absolutely HORRIBLE teachers as well. Our overall test scores are reflective of some sad realities in the classrooms here. The principal, though very nice, does not manage his staff of teachers well at all! That...

Very small townish. The school encompasses a wide variety of students, with plenty of aspiring kids enrolled. People have said that this school is a piece of trash and that the program is poorly set up, but as a student, I am here to put those rumors to rest: yes, it does have a limited course with...
