Mobile County Training School is a historic treasure to the community. The school started in the 1800s as an opportune for children of color to attend school and receive education. To this day, MCTS is a school that allows its students to receive the education they need in order to succeed and become model citizens.

The administration, faculty, and staff are extremely professional, nice, and compassionate. Although the enrollment is small, it gives more opportunity for teachers to build relationships with students and individual assistance with academics.

The school has a bad reputation, but it has improved over the last five years. The students are better behaved and the administrators are approachable and concerned about the students.
