GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I am a current student at Phillips Preparatory School. I love this school and it's preppy spirit. They are harsh, and it is a stack of work but you do get better at adjusting to this advanced school lifestyle. My 6th grade year was really easy, but it did get exhausting at times when the work started to pile up. I am currently in my 7th grade year and I like it so far but the work overload is getting worse. And it is gonna get worse based off what I've heard from past 7th graders. The homework is EVERY night except for Fridays. The homework usually takes me 1 hour or 2 but I am mostly tired from Football Practice. Also, try and be here EVERY day. You have 7 classes and you have work in every class. So when you miss a day, you miss a lot. They are strict here, but that is just how this school is coordinated. Please do your best to follow all the rules. I got in a handful of trouble in 6th grade, but I know the rules now and how to do everything. I will be sad when I leave here in 8th.

I am very glad I chose to attend Phillips. At first in sixth grade it was very different and pretty hard, but as time went by, I got used to it. It is challenging sometimes, but it is worth it in the end. Phillips is an amazing school! The band is also very amazing.
