Overall, my experience at Monroe Area High School has been pretty good. Most of the teachers here go over & beyond for each & every one of us & make sure to put us first. The only thing that I would like to see change is the environment. Some of the staff can be very hostile & have a habit of reacting before understanding. On the other hand, I was very lucky to have been scheduled with teachers that are very kind & take the time to separate school to get to know me personally.

Monroe Area High School was attended by my mother and now my younger sister and I. The teachers and administration do the best they can with what they are given. We are not given a lot of money and the most of what is fundraised goes to the football program. Every alumni and every elder in the Monroe community has spirit and support for the Monroe Hurricanes. It is a fun experience to be a part of. Removing drama, the love can be felt among most individuals. It is high school so there are mean teenage girls; however, we all come together as a community in and out of school to make things happen.

This school is on the come-up! My children have attended a school in another nearby county that had an excellent reputation, however neither of my kids enjoyed their time there, in spite of being very involved in sports and extra curricular activities. This is our first year at MAHS and I could not...

Fantastic school. I’ve lived all over the country and in places that supposedly have the best schools in the country but the schools here are better. They do more than teach to a standardized test and actually help instill good behavior

Both of my kids went to school here. We are from Maryland and yes the schools are tons better. I had great reserves about this school when I first moved here. However, I found if you do what you are supposed to do and work hard you will succeed. They aren’t going to hold your hand. I also found the...

My experience at this school was amazing. The teachers are always willing to help students who needed it and those who asked for it. The AP program is the best in the county, and very highly ranked in the state. Sports are amazing and help lower income kids be apart of something. The sports also bui...
