The basketball team is hands-down the priority in this school. If you are a good player, you have every resource at your fingertips. Other sports offered are girl's volleyball, cheerleading, (with skirts reaching below the knee) and kickball. Pretty much everything besides basketball stinks.

The extracurricular activities here are limited. Although the staff are more than happy to assist you in anything you may be interested in outside of school, SLBA itself does not offer much more than "soul-winning" and a teen's Bible club at Monroe High School. If you have an idea, you are free to bring it to the administration. They may or may not approve of it.

The most commonly used curriculum (ABeka Book) is very good, and easy to understand. However, it is very frustrating for students who are trying to work ahead to get anything done, since the number of available teachers is quite small. You can get access to college courses and more challenging classes, but you have to come up with the idea yourself. They are not offered at the beginning of the year.

It’s a school that if you stick with their curriculum till 12 th grade then your children will graduate. It’s good.
