GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a medium-sized high school. About 1000 students or so but it feels busy but not crowded. The teachers can be fun and helpful and I felt I learned a good bit. It diverse and includes everyone in as much stuff as they can. The school spirit is off the charts. A very loud band and a sprited student section lead to fun sports games. Would likely recommend the school to incoming students.

Monroe High School is very well organized. It has many clubs and has various class choices. There is a block schedule, so you have 8 classes per semester. They are divided into 4 classes each day. A good thing about block schedule is that you have an extra day to do homework. The student body isn't very diverse. The staffs are nice and they have good teachers.

Monroe High School is a fairly average school. There aren't really any outstanding qualities, but I have no complaints either. My two favorite things about MHS are going to the football games and watching the musical theatre performances. Since the pandemic, I haven't been to either, but I'm hoping things will be a little more normal next year.

I went here all through school and my kids currently go here, elementary and high school. Majority of teachers are amazing. I have never seen racism or bullying. My kids have friends from all different ethnicities and have never had a problem. It's a small town school and I think many people moving...
