During the 4 years I attended Macon County High School, I had a variety of experiences. I feel that this school system does not proper prepare students for college or life. I feel that there needs to be a better curriculum and overall staff.

I enjoyed the athletics but the academics need to be worked on. We are behind other schools when it comes to academics. We are not ready for standardized test like other surrounding areas. We are a few weeks from graduation and Instead of the administration trying to help us succeed it's like they are trying to fail us. There's no type of support for Seniors and there need when it comes to getting ready for college.

The academics offered are good in my opinion. I think it could be even better if students were able to choose classes from a broad group and not just the basics.

The school is moving forward and making adjustments to all these new rules. The staff is caring and the principal is focused on preparing the students for their post secondary options. There is room for greater parent involvement.

Do NOT send your children to this school. Having recently graduated, I can say that this school is terrible. It does nothing but give your children a diploma.
