GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I love everything about lanier from the school to the events to the academic programs. I wouldn't go to any other high school and it is very different from other schools. With all that being said , I would encourage any upcoming freshman's to attend lanier.

My experience with Sidney Lanier High was good. At first I didn't want to go to Lanier but I got to know the school environment and the teachers ,staff ,and students and overall it was actually a good school. When people look on the outside of our school, they really think it's a bad school but it's really not. I love my school and I'm glad that I went through that experience. Now I am a senior and ready to move on with my life but I'm still going to miss my school

Laniner was an average school nothing really amazing about it, at least not back in the 90's. There was one outstanding teacher I will never forget Mrs. Banks. She cared and always saw potential in me.
