LAMP is an outstanding academic magnet high school. Lamp, however is more than just academics, its about the people. The kids, the teachers, staff and parents. LAMP is an ecosystem where students can reach their highest potential. At lamp the academics are intense, but so are the sports, the arts and extracurriculars - LAMP is a school for people who "drink deep from the well of life."

I loved going to LAMP but I was always busy with assignments and did not have a lot of free time. You will graduate with an advanced diploma no matter what and need a minimum of 30 credits.

Academically this school is exceptional. However, if you are looking for the classic highs school experience this may not be the place for you, as most of your free time will be taken up with school work. The sports teams are also lacking as many students excel academically rather than physically.
