GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

We live in a rural part of north carolina so we don't have access to resources as we would if in or near a city. My school does not have a dance program, but does have a swim team which I am the co-captain of. Overall, I have enjoyed and gained valuable knowledge to enter the next stage of my journey toward a medical career.

Some changes I would like to see would probably be the diversity and administration. Not everyone needs to be in charge

West Carteret High School has been a place where I have discovered myself. With all the different clubs, sports, and activities that West Carteret has to offer, you learn what you like and dislike. There are many class options in each department with standard, honor, and AP classes. Overall the staff is helpful and considerate.
