As far as academic classes go, Morgantown High has an amazing science and math program, as well as many options for literature and history driven students. The only negative I would have to comment on would be some of the school's behavioral issues (which you can find anywhere, at any school) but those are usually handled relatively well :).

As a someone who's mother went to this school and who's son is now going to this school, it gives me great pride to see how much the school has grown yet stayed the same. The sense of knowing my son is growing up with the same traditions my mom and I did is amazing. We take great pride in being MOHIGANS!!

Morgantown High School is an incredibly diverse school, both in terms of socio-economic status and in ethnicity. This makes for a diverse culture where you can get many perspectives in the classroom. The teachers are incredibly dedicated to their students and the learning experience and are often overqualified in the more advanced classes.

MHS is a great school. The principal and staff have the right idea...they want to teach children and help them excel. The teachers push the kids to learn. The TEACH them how to be students. The study habits that my freshman daughter has already learned, I know will allow her to succeed in the future...

If your child is an average student then they are forgotten. It seems the school only cares about the AP students. They carry the school in regard to test scores. The math teachers my child has had have been horrific. I had to hire tutors. Many teachers never return phone calls or even come to meeti...
