GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I loved it. It was good, but a majority of things with bad connotations were due to underfunding or not diverse enough outcomes. Many students are ambitious and deserve the best, while others barely make it through. Certain struggles happen, but many students are not motivated or do not see many outcomes after highschool.

What I like best was the different opportunities to take part in performing arts. The music and band programs were great. Yearly plays and musicals in addition to band concerts fed the desire to perform. What I would change would be an addition of more clubs. Expand on interest of the entire student body, not just the more popular groups.

Morris Community High School is based in a small town with great potential. Our school mascot is the Redskins and I am definitely proud to be a redskin. The staff and student environment is extremely positive and exciting. Any student that walks in the front doors is greeted with a smile.

Thank God we moved out of Morris. If you are not a native of Morris, a diehard football fanatic Or in a particular group or click, you are not accepted or wanted. Football is all they care about. My son was not in football, was largely ignored by the populous and grades showed he had a problem. Did...

Besides the fact the school itself is older than about 90% of the teachers, there is a homey feel to it at some times, but that's about where it stops. There are "rednecks" that think it's cool to display the Confederate flag, so called "juggalos" & "goths", wannabe stoners, & then the stereotypical...

Led by caring, involved administrators with many smart, hard working teachers. The school environment seems safe. The school acknowledges some areas that need to improve and works at solutions. Solid communication from school to parent. Areas that could improve include more diverse offerings such as...
