About 10 miles down the highway from Wickenburg, Morristown Elementary School is a small public school serving more than 100 students in kindergarten through eighth grade who live in or near the triangle formed by Arizona State Routes 60 and 74.
As part of a rural community, Morristown fosters an environment where everyone gets to know their neighbors. Here, the faculty strive to inspire innovative lifelong learners and prepare students for the ever-changing world.
Outside of a core curriculum, students can become more attuned to nature in an environmental program, develop their creativity in the fine arts or thrive in services for exceptional students. Morristown also offers an English as a Second Language program for students who may be non-native speakers.
For the more active set, students in fifth through eighth grades can play in extracurricular athletics including volleyball, basketball and track and field. Although Morristown is in a rural area, students can compete in interscholastic athletics between other schools in the Central Mountain League which include Canon, Congress Elementary, Festive Foothills, Model Creek and Wickenburg Christian Academy.
As a special note to parents and caregivers, Morristown Elementary only holds classes Monday through Thursday and is closed every Friday.
