Mount Ayr school has a very important role in the community and is blessed with many different resources, we are fortunate to have people who work here to care about this school. One thing that should probably change is that we seem to care more about sports than academics.

Mount Ayr is a small high school where everyone knows everyone else. It is a lot of fun to hang out with friends during extracurriculars and class projects. There are a lot of opportunities in Mount Ayr especially since it is such a small school. Kids enjoy participating in different extracurriculars and clubs around the school. Members of the community also enjoy getting involved in the different clubs all around the school because they like making a difference.
