Established in 1998, Thomas C. Cario Middle School offers public education to students on the southeast side of the Park West neighborhood. Serving sixth to eighth-grade students, the school boasts small class sizes and unique learning opportunities. Although the middle school has one of the larger student bodies in the area, pupils receive a hands-on education from highly qualified teachers, making this a positive learning environment. The school is highly recognized and esteemed throughout the community and boasts multiple awards and accolades in academic and athletic categories. In addition to core subjects, students have the opportunity to explore courses like art, music, physical education, foreign languages and more. Teachers and administrators work year-round to host special events like the eighth grade dance, stock market simulation, monthly spirit nights and the school-wide spelling bee. These events and extracurricular activities like the art club and multiple sports teams help students gain leadership and social skills while having fun and sparking new interests. This school is the best middle school by far in the area. Most of the teachers there are great ,and they did an excellent job preparing me for high school.

Not that great of a school, I sent both of my daughters here last year and they absolutely hated it, they told me about how they had no playing equipment and that tons of kids smoke, I was like kids this young smoke? My experience at this school was horrible. I was bullied relentlessly and nobody did anything to stop it.
