Established in 1998, Thomas C. Cario Middle School offers public education to students on the southeast side of the Park West neighborhood. Serving sixth to eighth-grade students, the school boasts small class sizes and unique learning opportunities.
Although the middle school has one of the larger student bodies in the area, pupils receive a hands-on education from highly qualified teachers, making this a positive learning environment. The school is highly recognized and esteemed throughout the community and boasts multiple awards and accolades in academic and athletic categories.
In addition to core subjects, students have the opportunity to explore courses like art, music, physical education, foreign languages and more. Teachers and administrators work year-round to host special events like the eighth grade dance, stock market simulation, monthly spirit nights and the school-wide spelling bee.

My son went through Cario Middle School several years ago. I loved it back then and still love it now that my daughter is going through. They have added so many related arts classes. Also I LOVE the Guidance Department. The Band, Chorus, Orchestra and Drama are top notch here at this school. The band teacher has taken it to a whole new level. They sound Great!!!
