During my time at MPHS I had a normal experience with great teachers. What I noticed is that it doesn't have a heavy highschool to college pipeline. I wish they had a heavier emphasis on colleges especially the ones in Texas to ease the transition. The great thing is that they have dual enrollment which helps students on their path to advancing their career or earning an Associates degree. They have a close relationship with Northeast Texas Community College which is an excellent way for student who want to go to community college before transferring to a four-year university.

At Mount Pleasant High School, I have had a lot of up and downs but for the most part this has been the most supportive and welcoming school I've encountered. My junior year was very rough with the surgeries and procedures I had done but when I came back to school everyone was so helpful and understanding. I really appreciated the kindness after my procedures because the surgeries were a hard bump in the road for me.
