This is a very small mountain town school. It's average and there's a lot that could be improved. A good portion of the teachers are competent and Involved. There are several different quality clubs offered as well as sports.

The students are generally not as engaged in learning as one would hope, the staff is quite mixed between very good teachers and very bad, and the administration and office are very bad at communicating with students about important information.

There are several good teachers, a good variety of classes (AP, shop, French/Spanish, etc.), and close proximity to mountain bike trails. There is some shakiness in the administration.

Mt. Shasta is a community decimated by the economic collapse of 2009. Many families have fled to find work elsehere. Administrators and teachers as well. Enrollment has plummeted. Finances are tight! Gentrification of staff evident!

Mt. Shasta High School is located in a beautiful area, with Shastice park just a short walk away. The athletics program is good in some areas, yet suffers in others. The soccer team has won league 4-years running as of this review, and the ski/board team is almost always ranked 1st in the state. The...

Mount Shasta High scooh is small. The student participation is very low and the school has very little spirit, if any. This is not a fun school with allot of activities.
