After moving there during my junior year I was welcomed with open arms and allowed me to achieve my full potential as a student. I have looked forward to going to school most days, though it is hard to get out of bed, and have always appreciated how great Mount Vernon is.

I would like the school to incorporate more school spirit. Our spirit days are sad and close to nobody gets involved.

My experience at MVHS has been good overall. I originally did not want to go to a public school, but MVHS has made it a very memorable experience. There are a lot of good things about this school, but I would like to see the administration taking a firmer stand on some of the negative things that have been happening. All in all, it is a good school.

The faculty is very helpful and supportive. There are numerous courses that give dual credit for college credits. The school has 3 different diploma programs for graduating.
