My experience at Mount Vernon High School is wonderful because they have wonderful companionship and teachers that could help you further explore your talents and what you're interested in. Teachers take your time to make sure that you fully understand what's happening within the assignments.

Mount Vernon High School has amazing diversity and is very good at including everyone. We have Mariachi and Folklorico programs at the school as well as pacific islanders associations, and other organizations. Yet, this school is slowly eliminating all high leveled classes, there are no more honors classes, and AP classes are slowly being phased out. I do not know if even half of the classes I signed up for are even going to run next year.

This High School while it means well can do a lot better. Of course, most of my judgment comes from being at this institution during the time of the pandemic. I did have a bad experience with one of the teachers that gaslit me so that was awful. She was much like a college professor in that way where she almost expected me to teach myself. This was a math teacher btw. With the newest generation being Generation Z, I felt at times that I was unwanted there and being judged for the things my generation did, not me personally, like the lack of school spirit. There needs to be more inclusion for those that are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. For being a large school, it could do so much better. There were a couple of really awesome teachers that did help me have a better high school experience though. I don't feel like there's much more that I can say about it since I only really attended there for two years, with the other two being in running start at Everett Community College.

I went to MVHS and it was the most horrific, terrible worst time in my life when if should've been the best time in my life. They don't care about the students, it's over populated with gangs and bully's. The teachers don't teach you anything. Do not send your children here!
