GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a decent school with plenty of opportunities and very engaging and helpful teachers, but the building needs some work and there is often a teachers vs administration thing going on. They won't listen to us for more than half a second and then expect perfect behavior from the students. I'd say that we don't have the most diversity, but there is plenty of opportunities with foreign language or other cultures. We could do with some building repairs though.

MH is overall a good school with lots of activities, but major lack of recognition in STEM and the arts despite them winning lots of awards. The building itself is in need of major repair, but isn't the worst. Overall, it's ok.

I love mountain home high school. It is a small 5a school so you get to know people extremely well. I hope that the school will update their buildings as the current infrastructure is below par.

My Hendrix student has interned at HP and Amazon and is going to work at Google after he graduates. My other two will be goi...

I've been in the area 8 years and have hired a lot of grads, I believe what the Mountain Home HS is doing is great! I do agree with the parent who said like all schools they pay too much attention to athletes. However, the schools in this town have become very health conscious, so athletics seems a...

MH is lucky to have a great tax base that other schools aren't blessed with. Unfortunately, instead of using it for things that matter, like promoting STEM education, they take the same useless road as other schools and bleed it out into football. What a waste of resources. I cannot name a pro athle...

I feel I received an above average education at MHHS but the town it's set in is not conducive for any cultural enlightenment.
