Overall a great experience, however a very strong cancel culture and the vast pools of money are not used optimally. Very comprehensive artistic training, but for music at least the only large ensemble experience is from an outside organization.

Walnut Hill is a school for up and coming artist and is filled with students who take their art seriously and the staff and faculty really understand that and push us to be our best and to do our best. Teachers are very understanding and there to actually see you grow as an artist and a person. The school environment is really good students are told to express themselves and no one is pushed into conforming into similar boxes. As a day student I like that this school opens dinner up earlier so that I can eat before I can go home but they could do better on making events more accessible time wise for us to attend.

My child is a current student at Walnut Hill and it has far exceeded our expectations. We were initially skeptical when she wanted to attend a school focused on the arts. She is challenged academically in ways she was not in her public school which was our biggest concern. As parents, we appreciate that she is exposed to new and different ways of thinking. She loves that she is surrounded by students who truly love school.

My experience here was that some teachers care about the students and what they teach.But some are petty and totally play favorites. The discipline system is hilacious. The audition process for this school is a joke. They deny talented kids enrollment, but force you to PAY a fee for financial aide application, fees of which go to other students who they do let in. Pretentious people running this place really need to get over themselves.

My daughter is a Sophomore. When she enrolled at Walnut we were concerned about the academics. She has received an excellent education that has exceeded our expectations.
