Nevada High School is a good high school for where it is located, not great, but good. It has opportunities to participate in many sports and clubs.

Most teachers try to teach real world application, others need help. Fun environment when admin lets you - covid has dampened events like everywhere and hard to support winter sports with limited attendance.

The town of Nevada and the people inside of it are very adverse to change in any sense. The kids hate the teachers and any older person with a passion, and there is half a staff of new teachers every year. If the children do not like a teacher, they will run that teacher out of that town until they leave. There is a prevalent bullying problem that has never been dealt with, the athletic kids are held on a pedestal despite not being very good, and for the kids in this town that aren't cis, white, hetero hicks, it is hell here.

Everything goes. I have never seen any repercussions for any sort of failure or harassments. They do not care if you learn, they simply will have you graduate no matter what.

Always had a good experience with all of my dealings with the high school. Easy to talk to teachers and administrators. When an issue arose teachers, counselors, and administrators help work it out.

My son moved here and has had horrible scores on his tests, he was a straight A student before.

Lack of books and forced military testing on students. I feel the school has no regard for the opinions of parents and does things underhandedly. It is also near impossible to speak to superintendents; the buck pretty much stops with the principal.
