Nevada High School as a small school in Southwest Missouri, is a pretty good quality school. The elementary upbringing is amazing and cheerful, and the teachers are all decently polite people. I enjoyed growing up in a school with lots of school spirit and a happy environment. The only thing that I wish would improve with Nevada High School is the amount of prep we have for the real world. I am a senior in high school, yet I am terrified for my upcoming years. We need to find ways to teach students the high school information but add the things we will be using in the future. I honestly feel very unprepared to figure college out, pay my bills, and do my taxes. I don't think this school is the only one with that problem. It may not be just a problem at NHS, it could be everywhere.

the school has less than 800 students attending currently and the overall quality of education and experience has been relatively average.

I really want to complete my last 2 school years here, because most of the people with whom I talked told me that there are rates like this (see below), but now I can't. But once in my life, I'll finally visit this wonderful place and have a talk with all of the teachers in it :D

Everything goes. I have never seen any repercussions for any sort of failure or harassments. They do not care if you learn, they simply will have you graduate no matter what.

Always had a good experience with all of my dealings with the high school. Easy to talk to teachers and administrators. When an issue arose teachers, counselors, and administrators help work it out.

My son moved here and has had horrible scores on his tests, he was a straight A student before.

Lack of books and forced military testing on students. I feel the school has no regard for the opinions of parents and does things underhandedly. It is also near impossible to speak to superintendents; the buck pretty much stops with the principal.
