When I attended DiLoreto Magnet School it had a couple of years of transforming to an Elementary and Middle School. It was a remodeled education institution.This was a new transition for multiple people and many extended changes occurred as well. I think this entire transition was a bit challenging for all students, teachers, staff, and parents. While I was a student at this school the system was complex, the entire school was still getting adjusted to the 'appropriate' position. It was hard to adapt. I entered as a fourth grader entering as a fifth grader. The Board of Education/ The previous school I attended this time decided to move all bilingual students and bilingual Teachers to a new setting. I don't quite remember all details. The application process was not needed. It was all an automatic process for us. However, I do believe children entering Pre-K/ Kindergarten and every other student wanting to enter this Dual Language program were raffled to be able to be a part of the this program. It was slightly 'competitive' at the time. DiLoreto was the only Dual Language School in New Britain, Connecticut. -Academic Requirements: None

Personally, I believe the most touched and concerned subject was Reading and certain Academic levels Students had to meet. -Dress code, attendance, and other controversial policies were all handled fairly.

Excellent experience in this school, the safety, the caring for our students, regardless of their financial status and ethnicity is a must look into and Diloretto fulfills this aspect with flying colors! I have two children at Diloreto. Mr. Ortiz is a great leader and caring Principal. He has an "open-door" policy and is quick to respond to emails and phone calls. The teachers are fantastic. It is one of the best and leading Dual Language Schools in the area. The faculty and staff is dedicated to teaching and caring for the children.
