The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It was a great school. Everyone knew everyone. Everyone was nice. What I would like to see changed is that they would tell you when things are. I did early college and a vocational program my senior year of high school and was never in the school building. They just assumed that I knew what was going on but I did not.

Blue River is not a diverse school & not a very open minded school but almost every single one of my teachers has always put in all their effort for me to be where I need to be, along with all the other students. I think that the best thing about our school is our leaders: the teachers who take time to help us individually since we are a small school, the leaders of our clubs & team that pour everything into these organizations, & the students as well who take leadership responsibilities. While no school is perfect & Blue River is far from it (& I am far from loving Blue River), we are surrounded by caring teachers & students (for the most part) who try hard to make school go by as easily as possible. This is a hard school for you to tell alone in.

I loved how involved and passionate our teachers were. They took time to get to know us as students and made sure the class as a whole went very well. I would not say there is much that needs improvement.

BRV is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers, other staff, and students. A safe and inviting school. This is a small school so it allows for more one on one teacher/student interaction. The teachers and other staff at this school truly take the time to get to know your children, meet their need...

Very safe and comfortable small school. The student to teacher ratio allows for more individualized attention and feedback from the teachers. The current rating does not reflect the high quality education received from this school.
