GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience with Buckhorn High School was smooth overall, I never had any issues with teachers or the work they would give. Some classes, though, wouldn't teach us anything.

I would say my overall experience at Buckhorn High School is positive for the most part. Of course there are challenges in high school with navigating where you fit in. You lose friends and make new friends as well as new memories. Each experience whether it be negative or positive, does help prepare you for the future. I know one day I will miss this because you can't really go back.

Academically, I feel like I had an average education. I was able to manage the workload while being involved in several extra-curricular activities and holding a part-time job.

Buckhorn High School is not a welcoming school... period. If your child did not grow up in the area, they aren't going to have an easy time making friends. Both of my children are very outgoing, and having a tough time at this school. The teachers my children currently have do not seem to have a pos...

I came from a northern town and didn't quite understand what to make of southern states. Many students believed because of my background it was alright to...
